I don’t cover this in the book—this is the framework I live by every single day to dial in my Authenticity Quotient.

The Seven Fs are more than chapter headings—they’re the daily guardrails I lean on to stay aligned, courageous, and true to who God made me to be. Whenever I feel off-center—stressed, anxious, or running on autopilot—I run through Faith, Family, Finances, Fitness, Friends, Fun, and Formula to bring myself back to center.
Use this wheel as your personal checklist:

  • Formula—your unique set of values, habits, and language that turn insight into action.

After 20+ years in corporate leadership, I made the bold decision to step away and redefine success—not by titles or income, but by alignment with my true self. I traveled the world, created and tested this framework, and discovered that when you master these seven key areas—Formula, Faith, Fitness, Finances, Family, Friends, and Fun—everything changes.

1 Faith

For me, faith is the foundation of everything. It’s the belief that there’s something greater guiding my steps, and it’s what gave me the courage to walk away from a 20+ year career—to leave security behind and pursue a life that truly fulfills me.

For most of my life, I believed family should always come first. It felt like the right thing to say—and to do. But here’s what I’ve learned: if you don’t take care of yourself first, you can’t take care of your family well.

In this video, I explain why I place faith, fitness, and finances ahead of family—not because they matter more, but because they enable me to serve my family better. It’s like the oxygen mask rule on an airplane: you have to secure your own mask first, or you won’t be able to help anyone else.

When I neglected my personal foundation, I felt burned out, trapped, and taken for granted. But when I prioritized my alignment—my faith, health, and financial fitness—I became the best version of myself for my wife, my kids, and even my dog.

Fitness isn’t about vanity. It’s about building a body that can carry the weight of your life, your responsibilities, and your mission. It’s about energy, clarity, and longevity. Because if your body doesn’t work, nothing else can either.

And sometimes, relationships fade—not because of conflict, but because growth creates distance. That’s okay. It’s part of the growing process.

This framework isn’t rigid. It’s a living structure—one where you prioritize based on the situation you’re negotiating at any given time. Some days, faith leads. Other days, fitness or finances take the front seat. But fun? Fun has to be everywhere if you want to take your life to the next level.

This isn’t just a framework. It’s the path I created and followed to avoid being defeated by life’s challenges. The 7F’s are how I learned to stay aligned, stay authentic, and stay true to who I’m called to be.

But here’s the key—this isn’t a rigid formula. It’s a living structure. The order of priority isn’t fixed because life isn’t fixed. There will be times when faith needs to come first, and other times when finances or fitness demand more focus. It’s about negotiating the season you’re in and knowing how to shift priorities without losing yourself.

The examples I’ve shared aren’t a prescription for you. They’re simply the real steps I took to get closer to my highest authenticity quotient (AQ). They represent my journey, my lessons, and my breakthroughs.
